advanced PurePEG Technology, video pre-processing providing spatio-temporal
filtering which yields the highest picture quality even at lower bit stream rates.
Optionally equipped with a DVB-S2 Modulator, this encoder offers the optimal
solution for SD video compression and satellite bandwidth usage. Simulcast of
MPEG-2 and AVC encoded video streams facilitates operation in evolving delivery
networks. Optional configurations offer a wide range of performance flexibility to
deal a wide range of applications, from the low-end entry level to the most

Maximum flexibility is a key component to the AVC4000-SD Encoder, with SMPTE
310 and ASI output standard. DVB-S and/or DVB-S2 modulator formats, DS3/E3
telephony and a 100/1000 Base-T IP Adapter that can support either UDP,RTP or
COP3 FEC are available. This enables the AVC4000-SD to operate in a wide
range of applications.
Two encoder channels, one processing MPEG-2 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 formats and the
other processing AVC Main Profile @ Level 3.0, operate independently and either
or both may be delivered in the compressed output data stream. Both are capable
of full resolution NTSC or PAL video formats with numerous resizing options.
Capable of decoding up to eight audio channels (4 pairs) with analog and/or digital
audio inputs, including embedded SDI audio, makes the AVC4000-SD compatible
with most audio requirements.
The AVC4000SD allows for latency customization with four latency modes from
400ms to 1.6 ms for optimal performance in a variety of applications.
Highly flexible, the AVC 4000 SD Encoder offers various input interfaces including:
ASI, SDI (SMPTE 259M), Analog Composite Video, Analog Audio, and Digital
AES/EBU audio Channels.
The embedded Web Browser Interface allows for easy command and control as
does the SNMP MIB & RS-232 proprietary command line interface. Intuitive,
menu-driven front panel control and A/V confidence monitors are standard
